- The First One Hundred Years, Revised and Expanded Edition"

Klee, using his special flair for the language, provides the following
brief descriptive notes on the text:
"In this newly revised and expanded edition, the author takes
us on a trip that began in the l500's, ultimately laying the foundation
for the first 100 years of aquarium history in America. With well-chosen
examples he describes fads and foibles, personalities and passions
both great and small, fanciful equipment that even Rube Goldberg
would gaze at in awe, and the origin of and experiences with fishes
that formed the backbone of the aquarium hobby in this country for
over fifty years. And, in a special addendum, like a modern-day
Sinbad the Sailor the author tells five fascinating stories of confrontation,
madness, poignancy, humbug and myth. This is not only a reference
book designed to be the standard work on aquarium history, but entertaining
reading as well, a book that is good reading for anyone and everyone
interested in fishkeeping."
